Welcome back! School starts Thursday and the Coles teachers, staff, PTA and volunteers have been hard at work preparing for a great school year.
On the first day you will receive a Back to School Packet. If you want to get a head start on filling out the Family Information Form or sign up to be a Room Parent, you can head straight to the links now or check out the whole packet here. Please make sure to read that packet and return all forms by September 9th.
We have loads of fabulous events and enrichments planned and are constantly coming up with new ideas. The best way to keep track of everything happening is reading the eBlast each week and checking out our website. Make sure to follow the JA Coles PTA Information Page and the Coles Families Page on Facebook.

Morning Drop-off Line Starts Monday!
Thanks to Jocelyn and our incredible volunteers, our drop-off line will begin on Monday, September 9th! The drop-off line runs from 8:25-8:35.
Please see this video to view our drop-off line procedures. Please remember to be courteous to our volunteers who are giving their time to ensure that our children get to school safely.
We can always use backup volunteers - join the coolest committee at school today and meet some great people along the way. Please email jocelyn.paal@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering this year.

Celebrate your child's birthday with a BIRTHDAY BOOK!
Consider donating a book to our Coles library in honor of your child's birthday. A book plate will be placed in the front cover stating that the book is for your child. Mrs. Giannacio will take a picture of him/her holding the book and post it on the Library bulletin board where it will remain until the end of the school year. Also, your child will get to check the book out first!
Volunteer at the Coles Media Center
Calling on all book-lovers and book-lovers' supporters!
The exciting process of book borrowing and exchange is about to begin at the Coles Media Center! The children always look forward to their library day and we all know how important the love of reading is for their development.
To make this a pleasant and efficient experience for all, we need a few volunteers to assist Mrs. Giannacio with checking out books, and organizing and re-shelving books as students return their weekly selections to the library. Volunteering in the library gives you flexible scheduling, interaction with students and teachers and if you love books, this is one of the most enjoyable (and coveted) volunteer opportunities available!
Please note that parents are not allowed to volunteer during their child's library time. Shifts are expected to start the week of 9/16. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Giannacio at sgiannacio@spfk12.org.
